Iranology Center opens at Pakistan’s University of Balochistan

TEHRAN, Sept. 14 (MNA) -- The Iranology Center was opened at the Balochistan University of Information Technology Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) in Quetta, Pakistan last week.

Several cultural officials including Masoom Yasin Zai, Head of Department of Bio Chemistry of the university, counselors of Iran and Afghanistan, as well as a great number of university professors and reporters attended the opening ceremony.

 

Head of Iran’s Cultural House in Quetta, Amir Rahimi gave the opening address and said that it was a great honor for the cultural house to have assisted in establishing the Iranology Center.

 

He called the project a step toward boosting bilateral ties and deepening cultural and scientific relations.

 

Afghanistan’s counselor Mohammad Davud Mohseni also expressed his satisfaction on opening the Iranology Center and stated that the center will also pave the way for expanding relations between the three countries of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan because of their common culture and language.

 

He expressed hope that in the near future, an Afghanology center will be established at the University of Balochistan as well.

 

Masoom Yasin Zai was the next to speak and expressed hope that the center would make the students of the university more familiar with Iran and its culture.

 

Afterwards, the center was officially inaugurated by Prof. Masoom Yasin Zai.
